Scarves and a Photoshoot

Alex (my wonderful husband) helped me out with a photoshoot today! I finished a girly pink scarf (complete with bow!) and an awesome scarflett with a big, vintage button. I'm glad I am able to make things that I truly love ♥ Here are a couple photos of the fun!

And of course you can see the 'official' photos in my etsy store!
As always, if you have any suggestions for me, please don't hesitate! I'd love to up my views and my sales!

PS: Just finished a new blue scarf! Hopefully my lovely hubby will model for me tomorrow ;)

Today we put up our christmas decorations :D I just love this time of year. I even got some presents wrapped to go under my handmade tree!
I also finished a couple items for my etsy shop. The hubby has agreed to helping me with a photoshoot tomorrow *yay* PS: Free shipping on purchases over $25 through Monday!!! Go take a look!
Can't wait to post pics of all the weekend accomplishments ;D

Heart Tree Painting

I finished my new painting today :-) It hangs in our living room above the bookcases we made. Because it is mainly monochromatic, it brings the colorful (tons of books, red table, yellow bench, striped rainbow chairs...) room together. I love my little owl ^.^ The plan was to paint over it when we get tired of it, but I'm not sure I'll be able to ;p

I also did a photoshoot today, thanks to my hubby, for some etsy updates. I listed copies of gifts I made for family and friends for Christmas. I just love them so much I wanted to share with the world! Annnd hopefully I'll earn some money to pay for gifts for others ;) I'm new at the business thing, so if anyone has any suggestions as far as pricing/photos/description goes, please comment!! I'm definitely open to advice :)

Thanks, and happy start of the holiday season! (The Christmas season doesn't officially start for me until after Thanksgiving, but considering I'm handmaking many gifts...I think it's ok :D)

Scarves and Cowls and Chairs, Oh My!

Ok, I really don't have anything to say about chairs. But I have been knitting up a storm! I'm having so much fun with bulky yarn!! All the ladies in my family will be receiving knit gifts this Christmas (I hope they like them!). I believe most presents I give this year will be handmade. [I'm a preschool teacher...money is tight.] What better way to show I care than to spend countless hours creating gifts I can only hope will be appreciated?

I made this yin yang scarf for my mother-in-law, then moved onto bulkier weight yarn. I used this pattern to make my sister's gift (in the fisherman color *love*). I amended the pattern to make a couple more gifts. These have taken me a quarter of the time to complete! Especially as I've been practicing :) Oh, I'm in love with bulky yarn. And such gorgeous fall colors! This morning I completed a mobius scarf for my sister-in-law. It was kind of a stroke of genius, if I do say so myself. So pretty!! I can't wait to give it to her :) I'll definitely be making another for my Etsy shop.

Speaking of which, I did list a new cowl on Etsy this morning. Here are some photos!
